Home Based Healthcare is a form of health care delivery that is typically organised and supported by NGOs throughout South Africa. The nurses and caregivers who give their devotion in this community based care are the life lines for millions of people across South Africa.
We are a passionate team of technology and design specialists who are investigating delivery of healthcare services in Home-Based Healthcare in South Africa and wish to use our diverse talents and specialties to address issues in Home Based Healthcare.
The Kujali Project is a South Africa – Finland knowledge partnership on ICT (SAFIPA) funded research initiative and practical subset of the Socio-Tech: Made in South Africa Project. The Kujali Project involves students from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU).
The current focus of the Kujali Project is the development of a mobile cellphone application to facilitate and improve the provision of care by caregivers.
